Subconscious
The Subconscious (non-conscious, unconscious, hormonal, spinal/vagal, body-based, etc.) is the oldest and possibly most complex part of our mind. It is responsible for reflex reactions, generating and maintaining habits, following routines, producing emotional feelings, and storing simple responses to certain situations. The Subconscious provides the primary connection between our body-based senses, our immune system, our gut, our hormonal communications, and the main Focuses. The Subconscious provides a base on which the rest of our mind has been built.
We are not directly aware of the workings of the Subconscious but we can be very aware of the feelings and urges produced by it. I contend that, like a complex computer, the Subconscious is basically automatic.
The Subconscious is almost entirely focussed on the here and now. It remembers past events (some as traumas) and responds to what is going on in the 'now' but has little, if any, interest in the future.
